Q: Where and when is WEFTEC 2013?
A: October 5-9, 2013

Q: How can I register for WEFTEC?
A: Online registration is now open.  Please see the Registration page for more details on other registration methods.

Q: What form of payment can I use to register for the conference?
A: WEF accepts the following forms of payment:

  • WEF can accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards payments
  • WEF can accept company, personal and travelers checks payable in US dollars, to: 
    Water Environment Federation
  • Cash is accepted onsite only.
  • Purchase Order/Wire Transfer:  WEF charges a $25 non-refundable application fee per registrant to process a purchase order or wire transfer. (Not accepted onsite.) A Purchase Order is not a form of payment for your registration.  Payment must be submitted upon receipt of invoice.

Q: I can’t remember my member number. Who do I call?

Q: Will I receive my badge prior to WEFTEC?
A: No. In support of sustainability and promoting environmentally friendly alternatives, name badges and tickets are not mailed in advance.  All pre-registrants will use Express Badge onsite.

Q: What is Express Badge pick-up?
A: Just like an airline e-ticket, registrants must print and bring your bar-code confirmation to be scanned and proceed to an Express Badge Pickup counter onsite.  Your badge and tickets will print instantly and you will be given your badge holder and lanyard. Photo ID (driver’s license, passport or government issued photo ID) may be required. Express Badge Pickup locations and hours Coming Soon.  

Q: When will I receive my Express Badge Confirmation?
A: All WEFTEC registrants will receive a bar code confirmation immediately after registering online or by phone, and within three (3) weeks of registering by fax or mail.  A follow-up Express Badge Confirmation will be issued 10 to 14 days prior to WEFTEC.

Q: What is Self Registration?
A: Self-registration is available onsite for Exhibition Only conference registrants.  Using a laptop station, registrants will enter all of their information and print their badge before entering the show floor. Exhibition Only Self-Registration will be located at McCormick Place South.

Q: What is included in the different registration packages and how much do they cost?
A: For details on registration packages and fees, please see the New Pricing Structure.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by mail or by fax no later than August 30, 2013. If approved, refunds will be issued, less a 25% administrative fee. No refunds are issued after August 31.

Q: Is there a penalty for substitutions?
A: No.  Substitutions are welcomed without penalty and should be submitted in writing by mail or by fax no later than August 30, 2013.  The substitute must submit the original registrant’s name & registrant ID number with their request.  Substitutions needed after August 30 must be done onsite.

Q: Is there a cost for losing a badge?
A: To defray costs associated with the rising volume of badge replacements, WEF has instituted a badge replacement cost of $25. Replacement tickets (facility tours and ticketed events), once issued, will not be replaced if lost or stolen. A new ticket would need to be purchased.

Q: What is the minimum age to attend?
A: Children under the age of 18 entering the exhibit hall during the show hours must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.  Their parent or guardian assumes all risks and responsibility for the safety of the children.  Children are not allowed in the hall during move-in or move-out.

Q: I’m an International attendee and require an official Letter of Invitation.  What should I do?
If you would like to request an invitation letter from the Water Environment Federation for your visa application, you must first register for the WEFTEC 2013 conference. Once you have registered online, you may request your invitation letter at the end of your registration session or you may submit a written request to LSukkariyyah@wef.org .

We strongly encourage you to make your request before August 30, 2013.

IMPORTANT:  Travel Regulation for International Visitors to the United States.  All travelers entering the United States (by air or sea) under the visa waiver program are required to hold a valid ESTA travel authorization. Q: Is WEFTEC Shuttle service provided?
A: Yes.  Complimentary shuttle bus service is offered to all WEFTEC registrants and will be available between most official WEFTEC hotels and McCormick Place. For more detailed information, please visit the Air Travel & Ground Transportation page of www.weftec.org. 


Q: I’m interested in Exhibiting at WEFTEC. Who do I call?

Q: What is included in my standard booth package?

Q: What’s not included in my standard booth package?
A: Booth furnishings (carpet, tables, chairs, trashcans) and electricity/utility connections are not included in the standard booth package.

Q: When will I receive an Exhibitor Service Manual?
A: The Exhibitor Service Manual is online in the Exhibition section of the website in the Exhibitor Service Center.
