Deirdre Finn, Executive Director of the Council of Infrastructure Financing Authorities (CIFA), discussed how federal funding will help tackle water infrastructure projects in communities across the country.
Finn leads CIFA, which represents the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds across the U.S. She spoke about the success of these programs as well as the federal Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act program. She also talks about the effect of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, to expand access to clean drinking water, tackle the climate crisis, and advance environmental justice, including the impact of the Build America Buy America Act on the water sector.
