Dr. Andrew Sanderson, MD, MPH of Howard University, discusses the connection between public health, environmental justice, and the water sector.
Dr. Sanderson talked WEF’s first public health conference in the spring of 2022 and his plans for the future, including better understanding the health needs of water treatment professionals and ensuring that underserved communities are taken care of. He shared his experiences joining the water sector and leanring about what water workers need. He also touched on environmental justice as a public health imperative.
