Initial impression of WEFTEC 2019 workshops surpasses expectations
Mario Roberto Hernandez
Sales Manager
Comerrsa, Guatemala
Q: What are you most looking forward to at WEFTEC 2019?
A: I’m here for my company, Comerrsa Guatemala. I came here for one of the workshops of today especially, because I have a lot of thoughts on the membrane applications. So that’s why I’m here.
This is my first WEFTEC but I studied it on the web and it looks like a very good event.
So far this morning the presentation is going good. I’m getting all of the answers that I was hoping to get out of the presentation. It is helping me a lot with our business.

A: I was at WEFTEC in New Orleans last year, so this is my second time at this event. Here at WEFTEC 2019 I’m hoping to have an opportunity to interact with others in the industry, see the latest cutting-edge technologies. As the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, we are attendees as well as exhibitors, so for the first time we are showing our innovation as well as our workforce development opportunities with the city. And we’re looking for ideas of others in the industry to help us become a smarter utility.

A: I’m looking forward to some technical sessions and visiting the exhibits. There are a couple of special technology sessions that I’m looking at for tomorrow, in fact I’ve generated a whole list. I was down in New Orleans three or four years ago, so this is my second time at WEFTEC. Here at WEFTEC 2019 I’ve brought a chemist from Lima as well. In terms of specific answers surrounding the technology, I’m hoping to keep up with the latest cutting-edge systems and technologies.
WEFTEC provides business opportunities
Slavica Dedovic Hammond
Principal Project Manager
Parsons Corporation
Playa Del Rey, Calif.
Q: What are you most looking forward to at WEFTEC 2019?
A: I’m looking at sustainable new equipment. There are a lot of manufacturers now who are addressing sustainable manufacturing and I have already scheduled appointments with some of the manufacturers where we already have contracts. So we plan to finish some new agreements while we are here.
We’ve been members for 20 years and I’ve been to almost every WEFTEC during that period. Now I like seeing the young people here. This is a great place for them to learn.
