Back in May, we asked and you answered about what makes WEFTEC in person so special. The overwhelming response was seeing and interacting with each other. This year’s Opening General Session is built to fulfill that need and get you ready to network, connect, and learn.

President Broaddus will share how a bit of thoughtfulness, a few small risks, and some good fortune can make huge differences. When we value different perspectives, seek out new experiences, and learn from the diverse backgrounds, we create a richer and more worthwhile WEFTEC.

Laura Schwartz will provide the keynote address at the Opening General Session as well as serve as a host and emcee throughout WEFTEC.

Schwartz began her professional career in 1993 as the youngest female presidential appointee in history serving as the White House Director of Events for the Clinton Administration. She is the author of Eat, Drink, and Succeed: Climb Your Way to the Top Using the Networking Power of Social Events.

Named one of the top seven professional speakers in the U.S., Schwartz’s book delivers proven techniques to help people network, build relationships, and grow throughout their personal and professional lives. She has been sought-after emcee and speaker since 2001.
