Recently, there has been an increased focus on continuing education programs for licensed professionals. Educational events, such as WEFTEC, further your education, provide opportunities to get involved and gain knowledge of technical advances in your field, and in many cases are required in order for you to renew licenses or certifications.
WEF calculates educational credits following a standardized method that is widely accepted by many certification and licensing agencies; however, states differ in the types and/or numbers of credits they will approve for educational events. Because of this, participants are responsible for exploring their state requirements and for ensuring that WEFTEC credits are accepted. Please remember that WEF provides documentation to attendees; however, most states require the individual licensee to report continuing education credits.
Certificates and transcripts are available to participants electronically when WEFTEC begins. Please keep in mind that, although WEF does provide these files, most states will require the individual licensee to report continuing education credits.
Learn from the brightest and most innovative minds through WEFTEC’s world-class educational program, delivering everything there is to know about water quality to you through a variety of learning styles.
The WEFTEC Program Committee intentionally designed this year’s sessions to actively engage you with speakers, content, and other participants. You will learn not only by listening but also by sharing your experience and perspectives, positioning yourself as a thought leader and growing your professional network.
Sessions are primarily interactive with nearly two-thirds including audience participation: learning exchanges, facilitated discussions, participant conversations, panel discussions, the ever-popular knowledge development forums, as well as several unique formats created to address a specific topic.
The remaining sessions are traditional — a speaker sharing slides in a college lecture format. Speakers may add real-time polls to their presentation to directly involve you.
All programming occurs at the McCormick Place Convention Center unless otherwise indicated.
In keeping with IACET guidelines, WEF maintains a database of all continuing education files for a minimum of 7 years. For more information regarding WEF’s Continuing Education Program, please visit www.wef.org. To request CE documentation, please submit an email request to CE@wef.org.
